Vanilla Bourbon Champagne

It is a little early in the year but we would like to introduce a cocktail from amateure kitchen at amateurekitchen.tv. The hint of vanilla with the sparkling champagne and the heat of the bourbon down your throat makes this a fun and festive drink which we would highly recommend for the end of year parties such Christmas and New Year. Or for the birthday just around the corner.

Time : n/a (at least 5 hours for the syrup)Vanilla Bourbon Champagne

Ingredients: Makes about one cocktail glass

  • 1/2 oz Vanilla Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Bourbon
  • 4 oz Champagne, recommend Brut
  • Vanilla Bean, split in half, garnish

Directions:

  1. Make Vanilla Syrup
    1. In a saucepan bring the water and sugar to a boil and stir until the sugar is dissolved
    2. Take the syrup off the heat and add in the vanilla beans
    3. Steep the vanilla beans for 5 hours or more
  2. Combine all ingredients into a champagne fluke and enjoy!
  3. Drink Responsibly!!
