Vanilla Bean Sponge Cake

We would like to introduce you to a Vanilla Bean Sponge Cake Recipe by Cesy at Cesy Can Cook, that we hope you will enjoy. Great for birthdays and small events. Mayhap a husband will try it to surprise his special person! Works great with cupcakes also. Enjoy with your favorite frosting or buttercream.

Time : 50 min including 40 min bake time

Ingredients : Makes 1Vanilla Bean Sponge Cake

  • 2 Cup all purpose flour
  • 2 Cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 Tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 Tsp salt
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Stick of Unsalted Butter OR 8 TBPS.
  • 1 Vanilla Bean or 1 TSP. Vanilla Paste or Extract

Directions :

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and set aside
  3. Beat eggs at high speed until they reach ribbon stage
  4. Add sugar slowly and mix until well combined for about 40 seconds
  5. Heat milk and butter together in microwave or stove
  6. Turn off mixer and add flour, then mix on medium speed until well combined DO NOT OVER MIX
  7. In a separate bowl add milk and butter
  8. Whisk and add Vanilla
  9. Add in the batter mixture to milk and butter slowly and whisk after each addition
  10. Do not over mix
  11. Bake it for 40 Minutes and check for doneness by inserting a knife or toothpick
